About

Hi, I'm Wendee — and I built this ceremony script builder for you.

Wedding officiant, microwedding planner, and the human behind this wedding ceremony script builder. If you've ever stared at a blank page trying to write a wedding vows script, or wondered what order a ceremony outline actually goes in, you're in the right place.

A little about me

I'm a Colorado-based wedding officiant and microwedding planner, but my heart has always been in the ceremony itself — that quiet, powerful moment when two people stand in front of the people they love and make a promise.

My wedding career started in 1995 as an assistant to two wedding coordinators at Keystone Resort. Since then I've been a full-service wedding planner, an elopement specialist, a teacher-librarian, and an ordained officiant through American Marriage Ministries. I founded my first wedding company in 2001, and I've spent three decades helping couples create small, intimate, joyful celebrations — mostly in Colorado, but I'm always happy to pack a bag.

I believe in doing less, but better. And I believe your wedding ceremony script should sound like you, not a template you found on the internet at 2 a.m.

Why I built the ceremony script builder

Over the years, couples kept asking me the same questions:

  • "How do we write vows that don't sound cheesy?"
  • "What order does the ceremony actually go in?"
  • "Our friend is officiating — can you help them not panic?"
  • "We want something spiritual but not religious. Is that possible?"

The answer was always yes — but there was no simple, beautiful, step-by-step tool that walked couples through it. So I built one. For each part of the ceremony you choose the wording that connects with you, make it your own, add your couple's story, and download a polished wedding ceremony script with officiant tips — so a friend or family member who has never led a ceremony can read it beautifully.

Want me to officiate your wedding?

I'd love to. In addition to building this tool, I'm an active wedding officiant based in the Golden / Denver, Colorado area, working with couples who want a ceremony that's warm, personal, and completely tailored to them.

  • Fully custom ceremonies written just for you
  • A "menu" approach where you pick the wording and tone you love
  • Religious, spiritual, secular, modern, traditional, or nature-based
  • A professional, calm presence on your wedding day
  • Destination and travel weddings — worldwide

A few things that make me, me

Wendee walking outdoors in Colorado before a wedding ceremony
  • I love the first sip of coffee, fall hikes in the aspens, and loud music in the car (where I absolutely pretend I can sing).
  • My standard uniform is jeans, a t-shirt, and flip-flops — but I clean up nicely for weddings, I promise.
  • I have a rescue black lab who keeps me company on walks and jogging attempts.
  • Fine cheese, crackers, olives, and wine is a complete meal and should be enjoyed weekly.
  • My father taught me that the deeper your friendships, the taller you grow. I try to live that way.

Available for weddings — near, far, and everywhere in between

While I'm based in Colorado, I love destination weddings and travel officiant work: mountaintop elopements, beach ceremonies, European destination weddings, or a backyard celebration across the country. I'm available worldwide.

Let's make your ceremony unforgettable.

Whether you're here to build your own wedding ceremony script or you'd like me to officiate in person, I'm so glad you stopped by. Your ceremony is the heart of your wedding day — it deserves to feel intentional, personal, and completely yours.
